This website does not use cookies to track you. There is no analytics package, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracker. As of the date above, a visitor who is not logged in receives no cookies from this site at all — which is why you are not being asked to accept any.

What a cookie is

A small file a website asks your browser to store, so that it can recognise the browser later. Some are necessary for a site to work; most, on most sites, exist to measure and target people.

What this site actually uses

Browser storage for emoji support

WordPress stores one technical value in your browser’s session storage (wpEmojiSettingsSupports) to avoid re-testing whether your browser can display emoji on every page. It contains no personal information, it is not a cookie, and it disappears when you close the tab.

Cookies if you log in

If you are a member of staff logging into WordPress, standard authentication cookies are set so the site knows who you are. These apply to administrators only, never to visitors.

Forms

Our forms may set a short-lived value to prevent a submission being sent twice. It carries no personal information and is not used to track you between visits.

Fonts loaded from Google

Typefaces are served by Google Fonts. That is not a cookie, but it is worth being straight about: your browser contacts Google to fetch the fonts, and Google receives your IP address in the process. We send nothing else and get nothing back.

Controlling cookies

Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its settings. Blocking all cookies on this site will not stop you reading it or sending us a form.

If this changes

If we ever add analytics or anything that tracks visitors, this page will be updated before it goes live and you will be asked to consent where the law requires it.
