Sleep Apnea Studies in Stockbridge, Georgia (Metro Atlanta)
Obstructive Sleep Apnea is when the airway repeatedly narrows or closes during Sleep, interrupting breathing. It often shows up as loud snoring, waking unrefreshed, and daytime sleepiness.
What a study involves here
Most protocols include at least one night recorded in our Sleep Disorders center, measuring airflow, breathing effort, oxygen and Sleep stages. Some studies enroll people already using CPAP; others do not.
Who protocols usually look for
Adults with diagnosed Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Whether you currently use CPAP matters, but it does not automatically rule you in or out — it depends on the protocol.
Worth knowing
Never stop using CPAP to qualify for a study. If a protocol needs a change, the study doctor manages it.
We conduct studies in this area, but protocols open and close through the year — so there may or may not be one recruiting today. Answering our questions is not enrollment and carries no obligation. Whether a study fits is decided after informed consent and screening, never from a web page. Study-related visits and assessments are provided at no cost to participants.
